ARTIST IN THE SCHOOL:
On Friday November 14, 2025 Forrest Elementary staff and students welcomed Artist in the School- Mr. Ian Porteus from The Cultural Wheel.
Ian has produced a variety of different workshops across the Province and beyond ranging from folk dancing workshops to workshops aligning with other cultures and traditions. Our students in grades 1-8 enjoyed a full day of grade by grade mini workshops, culminating in a school wide assembly to pull our learnings together!!
Thanks Mr. Porteus for a great day of dancing fun, history lessons and raising mindfulness about folklore and traditions!
